Born into a poor farming community, Moorman seemed destined never to cross the borders of Clay County, Alabama, but to live out his life as a farmer like his dad, on their family farm.
But he fell into trouble with the law several times before finally being put on trial by a judge. The choice to spend either half a year in prison or a year of military service in Vietnam.
His hunting experience in the forests of Alabama would benefit him. All he wants is to come home safe, in one piece, to master his life back home.
